He was at the time also a record label rep for Rawkus, Quannum, Land Speed, And Stones Throw records. After various opening spots for major hip hop acts (Jeru the Damaja, Phife Dog from Tribe Called Quest, Das Efx, The Clipse, Josh Martinez, Sleep, Awol One, Educated Consumers, Flex Mathews, Grayskul, Glue, Hanger 18, and many others), and various short tours, Skillz decided to take a break from playing out to pursue various other life goals. In 2010 teaming up with Jim Bonds to form Sinister Sound Set and returning to his dance music roots. Sinister Sound Set has recently opened for various International Indy dance acts (Penguin Prison, Party Supplies, The Swiss, and many others) Mk Skillz is currently working on some solo production, and a few side projects coming later in 2016.
